General information
We are pleased about your interest in our website. The protection of your personal data during your visit to our website is of particularly high importance to us. And as the website operator, we take the protection of all personal data very seriously.
All personal information is treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions, as explained in this privacy policy.
With the following information, we give you an overview of how we process your personal data and of your rights under data protection law.
Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behaviour.
Data protection
All personal information is treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions, as explained in this privacy policy.
Our website can of course be used without you providing any personal data. However, if personal data such as your name, address or email is requested at any time, this will be done on a voluntary basis. The processing is always carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and in compliance with the country-specific data protection provisions applicable to the WIRTH Gruppe.
Data transmission on the internet, for example by email, can always have security gaps. Complete protection of data is not possible on the internet.
Who receives the personal data
Within our company, only those departments that need your data to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations have access to it. We will only pass on information about you if this is required by statutory reporting obligations, if you have given your consent and/or if another legal basis legitimises this disclosure.
Data collected by us will never be passed on to third parties without your specific permission.
Information, erasure, blocking
At any time, you can obtain information about the personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, and request correction, blocking or erasure of this data free of charge. Please use the contact options given in the legal notice for this purpose. We are also available at any time for further questions on this topic.
Server log files
Each time the website is accessed by a data subject or an automated system, a series of general data and information is recorded in log files. This includes an internet protocol address (IP address), the browser types and versions used, the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (the so-called referrer), the sub-pages of our website that are accessed by an accessing system, the date and time of access to the website and other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR with the legitimate interests mentioned above.
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the user’s IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.
Storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data helps us to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. Here, too, our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR applies. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of collecting data to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. The collection of data to provide the website and the storage of the data in log files is necessary for the operation of the website. A further possibility of reviewing the log files exists if, on the basis of concrete indications, there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use or of a concrete attack on our website. Our legitimate interest in processing here lies in the purpose of clarifying and prosecuting such attacks and unlawful uses.
Cookies
In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you use, and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie (here, us). Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the online offering more user-friendly and effective overall.
This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functioning of which are explained below:
Transient cookies: These are deleted automatically when you close the browser. They include in particular session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
Persistent cookies: These are deleted automatically after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.
When you access our website, you are informed about the use of cookies and your consent to the processing of the personal data used in this context is obtained. In this context, reference is also made to this privacy policy. You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. This also gives you as a user full control over the use of cookies. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website to their full extent.
Language setting
This website is available in German and in English. Which version you see first depends on the preferred language that your browser communicates anyway each time a page is accessed: if it is German, the German version appears, otherwise the English version. Nothing is stored for this purpose and your location is not determined.
If you change the language yourself at the top of the page, your browser remembers this choice in its local storage (localStorage) under the name “engrida-sprache” with the value “de” or “en”, so that the website stays in the language you have chosen. This information does not leave your end device and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. It remains stored until you delete it via your browser settings. It is stored on the basis of Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), because this is strictly necessary for the language setting you have expressly requested.
Use of the contact form
A contact form is available on our website, which can be used to contact us electronically. The data entered by the user is transmitted to us and stored. This includes your email address and your message as mandatory fields; all other information is voluntary and goes beyond what is necessary. Your consent to the processing of your data is obtained as part of the submission process and reference is made to this privacy policy. The legal basis for processing the data when using the contact form is therefore Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Alternatively, you can contact us via the email address provided, in which case the user’s personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. The data is used exclusively for further conversation with you and is not passed on to third parties. For the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an email, there is a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If the contact is aimed at concluding a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR must also be included as a legal basis for processing in connection with the implementation of pre-contractual measures and any subsequent processing for the performance of a contract.
We only store personal data processed by us in the context of a general contact request via the contact form or by email until the respective correspondence has ended. The conversation has ended when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified.
Consent to the processing of your personal data can be withdrawn at any time. If you contact us by email, you can of course also object to the storage of your personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued.
Changes to the privacy provisions
Our privacy policy may be adapted at irregular intervals so that it complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services, e.g. when new offerings are added. The new privacy policy will then automatically apply to your next visit.
